Cobrinha BJJ 7 Volume DVD Set with Rubens Charles Review
Cobrinha BJJ 7 Volume DVD Set with Rubens Charles Review
If Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is your sport or you are looking for a great gift for someone involved in BJJ look no further than the Cobrinha BJJ 7 Volume DVD Set with Rubens Charles. I have been training for 3 years and have bought many DVD sets to help supplement my time on the mat when I am traveling and away from the academy. Hands down the Cobrinha BJJ 7 Volume DVD Set with Rubens Charles is the best DVD set I have ever purchased.
First off, is the production quality of the Rubens Charles Cobrinha production each move is shown with multiple cameral angles and set Budovideos.com put together for the shoot is so well lit up you miss nothing. Rubens Charles Cobrinha explains each move with the highest level of detail and focuses on techniques that easily translate in gi and no gi competition.
Before watching the Rubens Charles Cobrinha series I did not play a lot of spider guard now I am finding armbars and triangles every where I turn. Another priceless takeaway from the DVD set was his use of inside-out guard. I have to be honest here, I train with the best in the world and until watching the Rubens Charles Cobrinha DVD’s I had thought of inside-out guard as a terrible position that had me one step away from being passed into side control. In fact I never even knew we called it inside-out guard. Rubens Charles Cobrinha has me playing that guard with confidence now and I actually pulled off a armless triangle in randoi right after watching the DVD on a flight home from a business trip.
If you are looking for the best quality BJJ DVD set look no further than Cobrinha BJJ 7 Volume DVD Set with Rubens Charles. Worth 10 times the price!
Rubens Charles Cobrinha you are the man!

Make more money in outside sales
Dear Aden (ask@askaden.com)
Do you have any advice for someone looking to make more money in outside sales? I am interested in increasing outside sales any way I can. I have been selling software and technology solutions for 10 years and usually make very good money but 2008 and 2009 were pretty rough. I feel like I have lost my mojo and want to get back on track for 2010.
- Kristin
Dear Kristin,
Great question, I applaud you for wanting to improve and try new things. I especially like the fact that you did not bring up the economy or your company. When it comes to increasing outside sales you can not control economic cycles, its even debatable if politics and stimulus packages have all that much effect on economic cycles. All you can do is focus on maximizing your personal economic cycle and if the economy goes up you will just make even more money.
The fact of the matter is, when it comes to increasing outside sales your company and product are things you can't control. Take a step back and look at super star professional athletes that are drafted or traded to terrible teams some start whining and complaining right from the start causing their situation to be much worse others just focus on what they can control and make the best of it. It is the positive players that make the most out of their careers. I'm not saying "don't keep your options open for a better situation" but I am saying focus 99% of your efforts on the basics of your craft "selling" and other teams will come knocking with better offers and products if that is what you need.
Kristin, you are well on your way to increasing outside sales in 2010. Here are some tips that may help you make this a great year.
Focus: when it comes to increasing outside sales focus is knowing what NOT to do. In sales it comes down to the 80\20 rule. 80% of your time is spent on things that do not bring in commissions. Try your best to flip this ratio upside down and you will stand a good chance at an up to 400% increase in productivity. Some areas that can help you stay focused are creating a check list each day of what you need to get done. Do "busy work" like expense reports during times when you are less likely to generate leads or closes. If you need to travel for business, realize that you have already sacrificed that time and try to do as much as you can with your down time on the road. I personally never watch TV in hotel rooms, the way I see it is no matter how hard I try its not going to be as good as being home so I might as well make cash while I'm stuck in a hotel.
Break up with your relationships that are not going anywhere: I don't mean your boyfriend, I'm talking business here. 2008 and 2009 got many people in the bad habit of falling in love with deals that never close this does nothing toward increasing outside sales and wastes a ton of time you could be spending on finding new deals that will close. Don't worry about spending less time on those accounts and that causing you to lose the deal. The fact of the matter is the sale is going no where and you need to let the client know that you need to better use your time. Work out a process and a time line and stick to it. Even the best sales people in the world can be clobbered by a rookie that uses a structured plan that has set times for when to walk away from stalled accounts. If you change nothing at all except start working hard time lines with your deals you will start increasing outside sales in the first 30 days. The trick is to not be in love with your pipeline, its a new year and a new decade, time to clear out the dead wood and bring in fresh new prospects.
Before you begin to lay out your plan for 2010, you first need to analyze:
•YTD Business…specifically who did you close; what did they buy; where did they come from; and what was the average dollar value of the sales/transaction?
•WIN Rate…what is your win rate when presented with a qualified opportunity?
•Are some months or quarters more prolific than others?
•Discounting…what did it cost you in 2009?
•Vertical Markets…are you having greater success in one vertical versus another?
•Existing Pipeline…who won’t close, that you will be carrying over into 2010?
•Products Offerings…existing products and/or services, new products and/or services and planned price changes?
•Existing Customers…what ‘haven’t’ they purchased; why would they need it; and who do you need to speak with in order to initiate a sales cycle?
•2010 Compensation Plan…what will your sales revenue requirement be in 2010?
•Personal Income Requirement…what do you want to make in 2010?
Hope that helps.

The best luxury hotel in Hawaii; The Kahala
One of the best kept secrets in Hawaii is the Kahala Hotel on Oahu. I have been to Hawaii many times and the Kahala is by far the best luxury hotel in Hawaii. The Kahala Hotel & Resort is Hawaii’s reining luxury resort, set on a secluded beach just ten minutes from the world class shopping and entertainment of Waikiki. This legendary hideaway resort in Honolulu's plush Kahala district is a favorite with presidents, international royalty and celebrities. From the moment you arrive, you will know that you are truly somewhere special.
First off is the value. The Kahala is not nearly as expensive as the Four Seasons or Princville but is easily on par. In many ways I feel it is even more luxurious because at the Kahala you are allowed to truly relax and you can utilize the services eat and drink for far less than other five star resorts. Heather and I have stayed at the Kahala 3 times and have never been anything but more than impressed.
Its location makes the Kahala the best luxury hotel in Hawaii minutes from Waikiki Beach its a short drive over Diamond Head to great shopping and the beach but the Kahala has its own beach with zero tourists and crowds. There is nothing worse than trying to relax on a public beach that resembles the crowds at a Walmart on Black Friday. At the Kahala there are no crowds and you are close to everything you would ever want or need.
The staff at the Kahala is also a huge factor in making the resort the best luxury hotel in Hawaii. They cater to your every need without constantly bothering you. They just seem to appear whenever you need them.
The dolphin lagoon at the Kahala is also amazing. I'm not the kind of person to go to Sea World but the Dolphin Lagoon is simply amazing. Whenever you feel like you can walk to the water edge and spend some quality time with dolphins. The Kahala Hotel & Resort's 26,000 square foot natural lagoon is home to playful Atlantic Bottlenose dolphins. The Dolphin trainers offer daily education programs where guests can experience these animals up-close, and understand what makes them unique.
At The Kahala you have the chance to have face-to-face, in-water contact with these intelligent and most fascinating creatures. The encounter gives guests an unforgettable glimpse into the lives of dolphins in an enchanted environment that blends fun, inspiration and education.
If you expect the best from a luxury hotel and are looking for a romantic getaway or a great place to get married look at the Kahala, it truly is in my opinion best luxury hotel in Hawaii.
If you have stayed there, let me know what you thought of your stay.
See you there!

Photo Radar prevents scandals!
Photo Radar prevents scandals!
I received a nice little present in the mail on Saturday a photo radar ticket featuring a wonderful pictorial spread of my wife Heather http://www.heatherobsessed.com/ blowing thru a red light with a nice big smile on her face.
The funny part is how in the pictures, the photo radar people issue, they white out the face of the passenger! I guess even though they want to take our money left and right they don’t want to get anyone in trouble by showing who they were rolling around town with. So the next time you drive thru a red-light with a $10 transvestite prostitute or worse Tiger Woods in the front seat, rest assured the nice folks at photo radar have your back. I think I need to buy a laser jamming radar dectector!
Too funny,

Do pictures of your ex girlfriend make you more marketable to women?
Dear Aden ask@askaden.com
So I am hoping you can offer a little insight into a question I have been going back and fourth on for a few months. I am not a “player” but over the last 2 or 3 years I have had 4 good relationships with girls, great fun super hot girls. During my relationships we have had some very cool times, trips to the beach, skydiving, horseback riding ext. My question is I have some really great pictures from all my fun adventures with my ex girlfriends. Years ago my buddy told me that women like guys who have dated good looking women and that by having those pictures I look more marketable to women. On top of that, every time I have a girl over they usually make a bee-line for the pictures and always have positive comments, but they also ask “who is that” which is awkward. What should I do about the pictures with my exes in them do they make me more marketable to women? Should I keep them all, reduce them or none at all? Thanks for listening.
-Charlie
Dear Charlie,
WWJD?
No, I am not talking about the son of god. What Would James Do? As in James, James Bond.
James Bond, now there is a guy who has you beat on “adventures” with hot women but you would never see his flat filled with pictures of it James knew that it was him and not pictures that made him more marketable to women. When I think of your question I think of the old saying “People with money, don’t talk about money” If you go to a rich friends house do they have pictures of money lying around? Your friend was right, women do like guys that have dated good looking women, but a woman has senses that a man will never comprehend, she can smell it on you. Having pictures lying around does not say you dated hot women, it does not make you more marketable to women, it says you had a handful of times where you were around hot women and you felt it was so special you needed to take a picture.
My advice is to put the photos in storage, be more of a mystery, let her find out that you have done cool things little by little by her asking you questions. Trust me, she will know by your confidence that you are dateable; having pictures of your former flames up is creepy. As your relationship with a girl progresses put pictures of you and her up, that is a great barometer that you are growing committed to her. I had a friend with an amazing multi million dollar house. When he met girls he would wait months to ever have them over, his questions were always about her and when his dates asked him about himself he answered as short as possible and redirected back to her. He never talked about his past, and this guy paid to fly a MIG in Russia, he never talked about his exes, he dated plenty o amazing women one of them is featured von TMZ at least once a month (on second thought, that’s not good). Guess what? He did great, better than great, the less he said the more his mystique grew. It became an urban legend amongst single women that if he let them see his house they had conquered him. He has great roomers going around about him that other men would pay a PR rep thousands for. All by being mysterious.
Sometimes the best spear is the one you don’t throw; Take down the pictures.
Hope that helps,

Great Places to Meet Women
Dear Aden (ask@askaden.com)
I live in Tampa FL, a large enough city that I should have no trouble meeting women and getting dates with women, but I am having trouble finding places to meet women. Can you help me out by suggesting a few places to meet women?
- Mario
Dear Mario,
Great question, finding great places to meet women can be challenging even in the largest cities with the most single women. Assuming you have the confidence to approach them, I am guessing that you are looking for ideas on places to meet women where you don’t feel like you are being a pest or that “creepy stalker guy” here are a few places to meet women off the top of my head:
- Not the gym unless they approach you or you start very slow and respectfully. A lot of times people say the gym is one of the best places to meet women. I am always cautious here. You need to be respectful that this is her space and the last thing you want to do is make her feel uncomfortable during her workouts. Maybe just a smile and say hello and introduce yourself and then let her come to you.
- The mall. Shopping malls can be great places to meet women or even sharpen your pick up skills. I know many guys who buy things they don’t need just to secure 3 or 4 minutes with the cute sales associate. You can always wait until she is not working and then return the items. No harm no foul.
- Fashion Shows. The untapped holy-grail of places to meet beautiful women. Learn to love fashion shows! Heck even update your whole look at the same time. If you don’t have enough cash to be create the new high fashion you, go to places like H&M and Zara, they have incredible men’s clothes and at prices similar to the Gap. Hey find a hot girl at H&M and have her style you, ask her out while you are at it. Once you look the part (not necessary but it helps) fashion shows are great places to meet women! At fashion shows, straight guys have it made. Just be nice, look nice and you won’t even have to do any work the single women will flock to you in droves. If you attend enough of them you may even date a model and then you will have to beat the women wanting to steal her man off with a stick. Ever wonder why you always see the lamest guys with the hottest girls. Fashion show attendance is a top contributor to that phenomenon. It is an inside secret that only a few men know. Forget spending your cash on bottle service in Miami, next time get VIP seating at a fashion show, you can go alone, meet 20 hot single women and they give you a gift bag. Too good to be true? It’s not.
So forget the idiots that tell you the bank, or football games or the grocery stores are great places to meet women. Go to the mall, get some affordable steezy clothes from H&M or Zara and go to fashion shows. The best places to meet women!
Hope this helps

Heather's Vibram FiveFingers Review
My wife Heather recently bought a pair of Vibram FiveFingers shoes after reading the book Born to Run. I must admit, I was skeptical, very skeptical, in fact when I first saw them it was all I could do to pick myself up off the floor and stop laughing. But I love Heather so I tried to keep a straight face and got out the camera and filmed her trying out her new shoes.
I was wrong, she loved them! Best of all her usual knee pains from running were gone! The video product review of Vibram FiveFingers was a complete success.
The fact is, the human foot is an anatomical marvel of evolution with 26 bones, 33 joints, 20 muscles, and hundreds of sensory receptors, tendons and ligaments. Heather best described the human foot as a self correcting device. Vibram FiveFingers allow the foot to correct. Like the rest of the body, to keep our feet healthy, they need to be stimulated and exercised.
After reviewing them Heather truly recommeds Vibram FiveFingers. In her video shown here she recommends wearing FiveFingers for exercise, play, and for fun. Stimulating the muscles in your feet and lower legs will not only make you stronger and healthier, it improves your balance, agility and proprioception.

Where can I find cool old school Military Boots?
Dear Aden (ask@askaden.com)
I want to update my wardrobe and noticed a lot of guys wearing tapered jeans tucked in to military boots. I went to my local army surplus store but could not find old school military boots. All they had was desert camo boots and heavy work boots.
Any ideas on where to find that old school military boot look?
- Mark
Dear Mark,
When it comes to finding that old school military boot, you are right the surplus stores are not a good place to look. My favorite company making military boots with that WWII look is Bed Stu.
The coolest military boots are from Bed Stu, the Manuver Boot is my favorite for the old school military look. The price is great too! Military Boots from Bed Stu run between $100 and $250. Fundamentally based in nature with a thorough understanding of craftsmanship and endurance, Bed
Stü footwear is handcrafted of the finest materials available. With three lines to choose from – Bed
Stü Cobbler, Roan, and Bed
Stü – the company offers a broad choice of styles and price points.

Can I still wear the engagement ring from my fiancé who died before we were married?
Dear Aden, (ask@askaden.com)
After formal engagement of long past 1 1/2 yr. ago ...at that time I was given a very very beautiful and large platinum engagement ring and wedding set of rings encrusted with diamonds...My beloved gentleman died 3 months before our decided date of marriage... The ring was made with details for specifically "remembering him he said " to me... I would never want to change the ring in anyway ...It is nearly a perfect diamond and of significant value ,however none would I consider to sell or change ...He is gone and I know he would wish for me to be happy and secure in my older years to come...His children knew he gave me this ring with deep love...
This is such a beautiful reminder of that day of our recorded engagement celebration...
I am now torn ... as to whether I should wear this ring with and in the presence of the fine gentleman I am now dating and he too has asked me to marry him soon...We are elderly and I wish to accept his proposal and a ring...
I am reluctant; and have refrained from wearing my beautiful ring in his presence ...would this be in poor taste to do so ...? For fear he would feel ...??!! Who knows how men would react to this unfortunate circumstance of mine...
Please respond soon and truly grateful for your input to this matter of mine...
My Regards,
Dolores
Dear Dolores,
Thank you very much for your question. I am sorry for your loss in the past but I am excited (as you are) for your new love and future. I find it refreshing that you are taking your time with the issue of the engagement ring and have the feelings of your fiancé in mind when it comes to wearing a ring from your former engagement. You have a big heart and obviously love, admire and respect your fiancé a great deal, it sounds like both of you are very lucky to have each other.
A cornerstone to all good relationships is communication. If you have a conversation with your fiancé and explain to him the situation I think both of you will be more comfortable with the ring issue. I think ideally, given the circumstances it would be fine to wear the ring on your right hand, saving the marriage hand for your soon to be husband. If you need to resize the ring, any good jeweler can help and it should not cost much.
Right handed diamond rings are very popular now and have nothing to do with marriage or engagement. The man who you are engaged to now obviously is aware of your past. You are two grown adults with full lives that you have lived. But you also have a full life to live together. The ring is a reminder of your past life; your past has made you the woman you are today. Keep it, wear it on your right hand and don't be ashamed. Be proud of who you are, and the events that brought you there. I have a strong feeling that if presented with his feelings in mind and an explanation that includes an affirmation of your love and devotion to him your future husband will see things the same way.
Have a great new life together. Hope this helps,
-A.

LifeHammer can save your life!
While spending New Years in Steamboat Colorado this week, I discovered a new product that can save the lives of anyone who drives in adverse conditions the LifeHammer. Steamboat got a dumping of snow and roads were nearly impassable, while driving over Rabbit Ears Pass, a driver lost control of his pickup truck and trailer towing 2 snowmobiles.
The good part is, his truck flew off the road and ended up on its side but the driver was unhurt. The bad part is, the way the truck ended up the driver was unable to unbuckle his seatbelt by himself. With snow falling heavily, he could have easily been stranded overnight with no one knowing where to look for him and possibly freezing to death. Luckily he had a cool new gadget in his truck. The LifeHammer. LifeHammer not only is the next step in the evolution of vehicle safety, but can also be held in the palm of the driver's hand. Consisting of a double-tipped hardened steel hammer, and a safe seat belt cutting blade, it is designed as an aid drivers and passengers who, in the event of an emergency, need to quickly escape from their vehicle. Whether the emergency is due to submersion in water, a fire or a related event, this lifesaving device is easily stored out of the way, yet within range of the driver. The driver of the pickup was able to cut his seat belt using the blade on the LifeHammer and then break out the trucks windshield using the LifeHammer itself.
LifeHammer is a great tool that is easy to install in your vehicle and who knows, buying a LifeHammer could save your life! Click on the links for details on how to get your own LifeHammer.
