One of the best kept secrets in Hawaii is the Kahala Hotel on Oahu. I have been to Hawaii many times and the Kahala is by far the best luxury hotel in Hawaii. The Kahala Hotel & Resort is Hawaii’s reining luxury resort, set on a secluded beach just ten minutes from the world class shopping and entertainment of Waikiki. This legendary hideaway resort in Honolulu's plush Kahala district is a favorite with presidents, international royalty and celebrities. From the moment you arrive, you will know that you are truly somewhere special.
First off is the value. The Kahala is not nearly as expensive as the Four Seasons or Princville but is easily on par. In many ways I feel it is even more luxurious because at the Kahala you are allowed to truly relax and you can utilize the services eat and drink for far less than other five star resorts. Heather and I have stayed at the Kahala 3 times and have never been anything but more than impressed.
Its location makes the Kahala the best luxury hotel in Hawaii minutes from Waikiki Beach its a short drive over Diamond Head to great shopping and the beach but the Kahala has its own beach with zero tourists and crowds. There is nothing worse than trying to relax on a public beach that resembles the crowds at a Walmart on Black Friday. At the Kahala there are no crowds and you are close to everything you would ever want or need.

The staff at the Kahala is also a huge factor in making the resort the best luxury hotel in Hawaii. They cater to your every need without constantly bothering you. They just seem to appear whenever you need them.
The dolphin lagoon at the Kahala is also amazing. I'm not the kind of person to go to Sea World but the Dolphin Lagoon is simply amazing. Whenever you feel like you can walk to the water edge and spend some quality time with dolphins. The Kahala Hotel & Resort's 26,000 square foot natural lagoon is home to playful Atlantic Bottlenose dolphins. The Dolphin trainers offer daily education programs where guests can experience these animals up-close, and understand what makes them unique.

At The Kahala you have the chance to have face-to-face, in-water contact with these intelligent and most fascinating creatures. The encounter gives guests an unforgettable glimpse into the lives of dolphins in an enchanted environment that blends fun, inspiration and education.
